Russia Egypt Free Trade Agreement
Turkey has bilateral and multilateral agreements with the list of agreements being negotiated. Agreements that have so far been discussed only in the absence of formal action by the parties concerned are not mentioned. The Eurasian Economic Union, composed of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan, has concluded free trade agreements, see below. Note: Any customs union, every common market, any economic union, the Customs and Monetary Union and the Economic and Monetary Union are also a free trade area. In addition, Egypt has signed several bilateral agreements with Arab countries: Jordan (December 1999), Lebanon (March 1999), Libya (January 1991), Morocco (April 1999), Syria (December 1991) and Tunisia (March 1999). In addition, Egypt and China entered into a trade agreement in 1995. Egypt has also signed an economic treaty with Russia. In June 2001, Egypt signed an Association Agreement with the European Union (EU), which came into force on 1 June 2004. The agreement provided for immediate duty-free access of Egyptian products to EU markets, while duty-free access for EU products was phased in over a 12-year period. In 2010, Egypt and the EU concluded an agricultural annex to their free trade agreement and liberalized trade in more than 90% of agricultural goods. It describes the bilateral and multilateral trade agreements to which that country belongs, including with the United States.
The People`s Republic of China has bilateral trade agreements with the blocs, countries and their two specific administrative regions: List of agreements between two states, two blocs or one bloc and one state. In a telephone conversation with EAEU Trade Minister Andrej Slepnev, Gamea discussed ways to move the negotiations for a free trade agreement between Egypt and EU countries. Mr. Gamea expressed Egypt`s interest in ongoing and future cooperation projects with the Eurasian Union, in particular for the Russian Industrial Zone project in Egypt. She also stressed the continued interest in the free trade agreement and cooperation, which will enable the transfer of advanced industrial experience from the EEU to Egypt. Afghanistan has bilateral agreements with the countries and the following blocs: Meanwhile, the United States has negotiated an agreement between Egypt and Israel on the creation of a «qualified industrial zone» between the two countries, provoking Egyptians and Arab neighbors.
